Our kittens are members of our family and will only be placed in homes where they will continue to be treated this way. All cats are examined by a vet, vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed or neutered before going to their new homes. All cats come with a written health guarantee and must be well cared for, fed high-quality food, and not be declawed. We will arrange for the cat to be transported back to us if he or she ever needs to be rehomed. We encourage purchasers to keep in touch and send us updates. When people come to purchase a cat, we strive to make the best matches based on personality and lifestyle. Our first Cornish Rex, Nerissa, lived a long, happy, and much-loved life.
Every kitten comes with a three-year health guarantee. And because of our extensive testing, we are also able to offer an unprecedented, optional ten-year health guarantee.
We are a small cattery where our kittens and breeding cats live in our home with us and play with our young children. We do not have a separate outdoor facility or any other kind of environment where the cats and kittens are only seen to be fed and watered.
From our location in the south central region, we provide services to hand deliver and safely ship ragdoll kittens anywhere in the US. There are also several convenient air travel options where customers fly in, receive their ragdoll kitten at the airport and fly back home within the hour.
One of the biggest cat registries in the world is run by the International Cat Association (TICA).
TICA offers applicants the chance to submit an application and meet strict criteria for a cattery's cleanliness, safety, wellness, and health each year in order to earn their Outstanding Cattery Certification.
This can only be done by having a licensed veterinarian check out the cattery, after which the veterinarian must send TICA a licensed report.
Dr. Hank Oliver of Animal Hospital of Pasco has examined and certified Riverside Rags' in-home cattery.
The Cat Fancier's Association is a cat registry that is committed to the welfare of all cats. For the Cornish Rex, breeding is not permitted and only pure, traditional Cornish Rex can be registered. The CFA Cattery of Excellence award is given to registered CFA catteries that receive a superior score on the inspection checklist from a licensed vet. At Riverside Rags, our in-home cattery has been inspected and certified by Dr. Hank Oliver of Animal Hospital of Pasco.
